Food is fun

Fiona has always been a picky eater. On top of that, she actually doesn't LIKE to eat food. She never went through that stage where she was really excited about food--it just bored her and took away precious playing time. Now that she is older, we have relaxed our stance on giving her sweets. Shocking, I know, but MY child hadn't had ice cream/cake/chocolate until her first birthday and it was just about a year after that when she had something sweet again. Her new found sweet tooth brings her a lot of joy these days. She loves ice cream (mostly strawberry), cookies (the occasional sugar or chocolate chip), and jam (any flavor that happens to be sweet).

Here are some pics from this past week of her happily eating something she finds yummy.

Wiggles Concert Review

Well, they opened with "Big Red Car," a perennial fan favorite. Other popular songs included "Fruit Salad," "Do The Monkey" (get your mind out of the gutter!), and my favorite, "Hot Potato."

The best part of the whole event was witnessing Fiona's reaction when The Wiggles came on stage. It was so fun to see such pure joy and giddiness. Here's a couple of snapshots - one of her right as the concert started, another dancing around with other concert goers - aka Wiggles Groupies!

Shhh! Don't Tell Fiona!

T-MINUS 24 HOURS!

Today marks ONE FULL MONTH of potty training for Fiona. Here's a look at her Potty Chart - look at all the stickers! Amazing motivation, those little stickers.

Well, to celebrate this milestone, we are surprising Fiona tomorrow by taking her to.................

THE WIGGLES CONCERT!!!!
It all goes down Saturday at 5pm at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont. The best part is, we're not going to tell Fiona about it, we're just going to go into the arena and wait for the music to begin. I can't WAIT to see her freak out! And Fiona's reaction will be pretty good, too. ; )

The tickets say no cameras are allowed, but we're going to sneak one in to try and document her reaction. Look for an upcoming posting!

Oh - and Paul, I'll make sure to get you a "Wake Up Jeff" t-shirt!
